Meet the Experts

I’ve written before about the never-ending software jungle-gym of product permutations that we can build here at EMC. It’s actually the theme of this blog.  I work in an Information Playground.

EMC has acquired approximately 40 companies this decade. That’s why we have all of this cool technology at our fingertips.

I’ve also written about the fact that these companies come with architects that can be quickly integrated into the innovative culture here at EMC via our internal social media platform, EMC ONE.  Architects from different domains of expertise collaborate to propose new products.  These architects are world-wide experts in a wide variety of information-based technologies.

Some of the people I work with are so smart it makes my jaw drop.  I wish you could meet them.

Now you can.

RSA

One of the organizations that has joined EMC and had a large innovative impact is RSA. You probably know already that any engineer who specializes in crypto has got some serious brainpower.  More important than the brainpower, however, is the ability to communicate and collaborate with new co-workers at EMC.

RSA scores well on both counts.  The architects that I have met are articulate and share openly.  This combination of smarts and communication skills is one of the reason that the RSA and PowerPath teams were able to mind-meld and ship a product so quickly.

I have a meeting scheduled today with the RSA team to discuss the XAM standard.   It’s just a 30 minute hi-how-ya-doin technology interchange.  What will come of it?  I have no idea. But I am looking forward to it.

You’re Invited

Believe it or not EMC would like to pull you in to some of these meetings.

On this coming Wednesday, October 1, at 10 AM PT / 10 AM ET, Dr. Ari Juels of EMC-RSA will give you some of his thoughts about the next generation access control concepts that his organization is currently researching.

Would you like to attend the meeting?  Or would you like to take a look at other meetings you can listen in on? Register here. The program will include a Q&A portion at the end.

Taking It One Step Further

If you like what you hear when you meet the experts, and you’d like to take collaboration one step further, we’re also sponsoring face-to-face architecture and design meetings. Register here.

I like to call these types of meetings: “Join the Experts“. ;>)
